For pick-up in local Eugene/Springfield area; 10:00-11:30am Tuesday and Thursday each week. Please phone us by 3:00pm Monday and Wednesday to be considered for the next day's pick-up schedule.
Acceptable
file formats:
We
can open a wide variety of file types; however, not all file types are
appropriate for certain processes. Please consult us as to the most
suitable file type for the particular project. Faxes
and/or Web pages are not useable for artwork.
Vector file formats: .cdr, .eps, .ai, .ps, .dxf, .dwg Best formats; .cdr (Corel Draw) or .ai (Adobe Illustrator) files.
Bitmap file formats: .tif, .bmp, .jpg, .gif
Text file formats: .txt, .doc, .xls
Artwork requirements:
Indicate final size of material to engrave.
Set bitmap resolution to 600dpi (300dpi minimum) at the size to be engraved.
Convert all fonts to curves.
Provide names of font preferences.
Provide any list of names in (.txt) file format; one name per line, no tabs or other spacing.
Indicate whether file was created using a PC or a Mac ( PC preferred ).
Fax or mail a clear copy of the artwork to verify that the electronic file transferred accurately.
Artwork involving photographs require scanning the originals; please mail or request pick-up when ordering. Scanning does not alter originals. Photographs will be returned along with delivery of final product(s).
Approval and authorization process:
A proof is emailed to the client for final approval and authorization to proceed.
Written response (email accepted) must be received before proceeding. Response choices; “Approved” or “Changes Required”.
If changes are necessary, client has the option to modify the file or request Laser Image to proceed with necessary revisions.
Design and/or layout services by Laser Image will be charged.
Clients will be notified of design or layout charges through submission of a written estimate. Estimates are valid for 15 calendar days and are non-binding.
Written approval (email accepted) of the estimate must be received before proceeding with revisions.
A revised proof is emailed to the client for final approval and authorization to proceed.
If revisions to the proof are managed by the client using the same file format and include clear notation of changes, Laser Image will review and confirm receipt of changes before proceeding.
Illegal
or Inappropriate Material
Laser
Image, LLC shall not be required to produce any matter which in
their opinion is or may be of an illegal or libelous nature or an
infringement of the proprietary or other rights of any third
party. Laser Image, LLC shall be indemnified by the customer in
respect of any claims, costs and expenses arising out of any libelous
matter or any infringement of copyright, patent, design or any
other proprietary or personal rights contained in any material
supplied by the customer. The indemnity shall extend to any
amounts paid on a lawyer's advice in settlement of any claim.
